ESP Awarded the US Army's Project Manager, Handheld, Manpack, and Small Form Fit (PM HMS)

ESP LLC, a leading provider of technical and logistics services and solutions to U.S. Army, has been awarded a competitive task order valued at $ 12.5 million to provide logistics and fielding support to Project Manager, Handheld, Manpack and Small Fort Fit (PM HMS), Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The period of performance, began on 16 July 2012 and includes a base year and two option years. Under this contract, ESP will provide fielding, logistics training, and documentation support for the first tactical radios from the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) program fielded to units in the United States Army. We look forward to expanding our roles and responsibilities and are honored to provide this critical support to the Warfighter.

The mission of the Project Manager HMS, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD is to provide overall acquisition direction, oversight, and coordination of all activities focused on providing the next generation of tactical radios to the US Army. The PM HMS responsibility is to acquire the radios, support equipment, and training materials necessary to place into the hands of the soldiers of the Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs), increasing their communications capability for both voice and data transmissions. The HMS program represents the first set of equipment developed by the Department of Defense (DOD) under the JTRS program.
